"Los viajes de Gulliver" (1726) es una sátira social y política en la que Jonathan Swift criticaba ferozmente la sociedad inglesa y europea del siglo XVIII. Con el tiempo, versiones abreviadas y suavizadas eliminaron su crítica más profunda, transformando el libro en una historia de aventuras fantásticas para el público infantil.
