Las emociones han demostrado ejercer una influencia importante en muchas áreas de funcionamiento psicológico. Cuando los procesos emocionales se tornan disfuncionales pueden generar problemas en la regulación emocional y, eventualmente, trastornos clínicos. La práctica de mindfulness facilita la regulación emocional, generando nuevas formas de reaccionar a las emociones a través de “no juzgar” y aceptar la experiencia, lo que permite un compromiso saludable con las mismas.
